Cookies

1 cup butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups 3-Minute Brand Oats
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 12-ounce package (2 cups) semisweet chocolate pieces
4 ounces milk chocolate, grated
1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts or pecans

In large mixer bowl cream butter, sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Combine oats, flour, baking powder, soda, and salt. Add to creamed mixture and stirwell. Add chocolate pieces, grated chocolate, and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake in a 375°F. oven for 15 minutes. Makes
4 1/2 dozen cookies.
